The Campaign

MAC Cosmetics launched a national Powder Kiss campaign across major cities including Atlanta, Chicago, Dallas, Denver, Las Vegas, Los Angeles, Miami, New York City, and Honolulu. Rent A Human provided brand activation and experiential event staffing at MAC FSS, Macy's, Nordstrom, Ulta, and Bloomingdale's locations, delivering a consistent in-store experience that showcased the new product line. Rent A Human staffed 202 individual sampling assignments across a three day launch window, April 25 through April 27, 2019, reaching 94 distinct retail locations. Coverage extended beyond MAC's own free standing stores to counters inside Macy's, Nordstrom, Dillard's, Bloomingdale's, Ulta, Belk, and Saks Fifth Avenue, plus MAC's Canadian free standing stores in Mississauga, Ontario and Edmonton, Alberta. Each location was staffed by one brand ambassador running the Powder Kiss sampling activation for the full three day window, with many locations covered on all three days to keep the product experience consistent through the campaign. That single day, single staff model repeated across dozens of markets simultaneously is what made a genuinely national retail activation possible on a compressed timeline. The scale of the Powder Kiss launch, roughly 200 staffed sampling assignments spanning department stores, specialty beauty retailers, and MAC's own doors across nine major cities and beyond, demonstrates Rent A Human's capacity to execute synchronized, multi retailer activations at national scale.
